Getting Back On Track.

It’s been over three weeks since I posted to my blog. What a rollercoaster those three weeks have been too. February wasn’t a good month for me at all. My Grandmother who was 100 years old sadly died on the 20th – just hours after my previous post on this blog. I’m going to miss her….even though she was 100, she still had the mind and wit of somebody half her age and a great sense of humour too. So, with sorting out funeral arrangements and tying up other loose ends which are inevitable when somebody dies, I haven’t really been in a “blog writing” mood.

On top of that, on 2nd March, I flew to New York – my favourite city in the world- for six nights. What a fantastic time I had…but that’s another blog post in itself.

Hopefully now things have settled down, I can devote a bit more time to my blog and get back on track. The reason I started this blog is because I signed up for John Thornhills Internet Marketing Masterclass. John wants us to keep a blog for a couple of reasons. The first is to create an online presence, and the second reason is it gets the student writing original content. Let’s face it, when was the last time you wrote a 200 word essay/post? Probably not since school…I know I hadn’t really.

As well as this blog, I have a couple of others too. I’ve neglected those as well. I haven’t posted on either of them for over a year. Maybe this course will give me the kick I need to update those too. One of them is a Guitar Lessons Blog ,which basically links to my youtube page and the other one is my Betfair Trading Blog, which showed screenshots of when I traded on the football on Betfair.

You can check them out if you like

Till next time,

Chris Owen.

  1. Hi Chris
Greeting from a 2009 Masterclass Student!
And a fellow guitar player by the sound of it.
Sorry to hear about your Grandmother, she would be proud I am sure with your comments about her.
Catch up with me sometime if you go blog hopping
    Regards
    Mike

  2. Hi Chris, sorry to hear about your sad news and of course you will miss her, just as I still miss my father who passed away 7 years ago. Keep posting to your blog and stick with the JT course as I know we will all be successful as a result. Good luck with all of your online ventures, regards Sue.

  3. Hi Chris

Life can be tough sometimes with losing someone you love! hope the trip went well to New York, I have spent a lot of time in the states as most of my family live there, but never made the time to enjoy New York!

You have a good writing style which is easy to read!

    All the best

    Nick

  4. Thank you all for your kind comments and thoughts. I’m definately determined to stick with this course and become successful in my online ventures. I wish everyone else all the best too. Together we can all succeed with each other’s help…with, of course a little mentoring from Mr JT himself.

  5. Just thought I would pop by to say hello as I am also a Masterclass student!

I am really enjoying the course and getting a lot from it – how about you?

Hope to speak to you soon in the forum as I think that will be available
    very soon.

    Best Wishes
    Keith

  6. Mike,

So sorry to hear about your loss of your Grandmother.
I also lost a very dear loved one 2 years ago.
And although we will never ‘get over it’ it gets better with time.
Precious memories of times of laughter and gatherings with family are well worth keeping. :)

John Thornhill is a terrific mentor and teacher. His support team is worth their weight in gold!

Glad you had a wonderful trip to the Big Apple. How exciting!!

Don’t give up, don’t give in, just “Git er done”, and you will surely be a success. You have such an easy way with words. A delight to read.

  9. Hi Chris –

Sorry to hear about your grandma. It’s very sad when someone close to you dies.

But do not worry about the course – you just need to make sure you complete it but in your own time. And at least you have a subject topic for your ebook…. Learning to play the guitar is a hot topic and you obviously know about it! Would be a great thinkg to “link” your business together…

    Cheers!

  10. Hi Chris,
I’m a student from the 2009 MasterClass and I was wandering down the list of blogs and this is my first visit to yours! Looks great so far!

Computer hardware has been my lifes work so if there is ever any problems or questions I can help you with, pop me an email. rayott@surferie.net put Masterclass Student in the subject line and it will stand a better chance of being noticed.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My mom was with us till the age of 93 and I lost my eldest son at the age of 35. We surely have to let our close friends and family know we care because none of us are promised even tomorrow.
